STEPS TO ACHIEVING RADIANT SKIN

EAT HEALTHY

You are what you eat and what you eat affects your health, especially your skin. Beautiful skin starts with nourishment from within. Treat your skin fabulously by eating lots of colorful fruits and vegetables like carrots, oranges, bell peppers, sweet potatoes, strawberries, papaya, Kale, and Spinach.

Carrots are filled with a large amount of beta carotene which slows the aging process and increases skin glow it also contains vitamin A and C. Taking a lot of vitamin C promotes radiant skin and helps scars heal properly.

Healthy Fat found in Avocados, nuts, and oily fish comes with a good amount of vitamin E which helps protect against free radical damage and also helps improve skin elasticity and keeps the skin supple.

DRINK LOTS OF WATER

Drinking more water is one of the fastest ways to keep your body functioning and boost skin glow. Drink 6-8 glasses of water a day to stay hydrated (You will need more if you generally sweat a lot). You can also add lemon or mint to liven up your water.

So… When next you are going shopping or meeting up with that vendor always have your bottle of water handy.

SLEEP

Sleeping for 7-9 hours is vital for healthy skin. When you don’t sleep enough you release cortisol which is a stress hormone.

Always get a full night’s sleep to avoid

  • Dark under-eye circle
  • Pale skin
  • Swollen eye
  • Hanging eyelids

As a bride-planner, you need to be able to delegate duties to your wedding planner or Day-of Coordinator so you are not awake most of the night feeling stressed and anxious about the wedding day.

RADIANT SKIN CARE ROUTINE

In all of this, do not forget your skincare ritual.

CLEANSE: Cleansing helps remove excess oil, makeup residue, and dead skin cells. You need to cleanse twice a day to keep your skin free from dirt.

EXFOLIATE: Use a facial scrub once a week to get rid of dead skin cells.

TONE: Toning helps to balance your skin PH. They also help to calm the skin and visibly reduce pores. When shopping for a toner it is advisable to shop for a toner without alcohol as alcohol-based content is known to strip off moisture.

MOISTURISE: Moisturising helps to repair skin and prevent water loss. It gives your skin shine and makes it supple.

APPLY SUNSCREEN: Protect your skin daily from harsh sun rays. Prolonged exposure to the sun can lead to dark patches, and fine lines and can suck the glow out of your skin. Use sunscreen with SPF 30 and above, and wear a hat and sun shades if you must go out during the day.
